Welcome

We shall be observing the auspicious Ganesh Chaturthi on Saturday, Sep 07, 2013. (Actual time period of the event falls on Sep 09, 1:40 AM to 4:07 AM EDT.) Lord Ganesha was (re)born on this very day. He is the remover of all obstacles. He bestows good fortune, prosperity and wisdom. All Puja ceremonies, new ventures and projects are started by first propitiating Shri Ganesh.

A special Ganesh Puja will be performed in the evening. All are welcome to participate in it for free. Lord Ganesh being the remover of obstacles, you can optionally donate 10 dollars towards a Sankalpa (a prayer for a specific intention), by including your name and birth star. If you don’t know your birth star, you may choose Amma’s birth star - Karthika. Of course you can attend the puja without offering the Sankalpa.
