India Day Celebrations - Visit Amma’s Booth

India Day on the Esplanade celebrates India’s Independence Day with an afternoon of cultural events including dance performances and music. The annual event will be held on Sunday, Aug 16th from 3:30 PM-8PM at the Esplanade by the Charles River in Boston. Attendance is estimated at around 12,000 people from all walks of life.
Amma New England Satsangs will have a booth at India Day to raise awareness about Amma’s immense worldwide humanitarian work. There will be booths on either side of the stage (along the river and along Storrow drive). Please look for the Amma booth on the Storrow Drive side if you come to the event.

Parking: Parking in the area is VERY limited. Public transportation on the Red line (see Directions) is highly recommended. Limited paid parking is available in the following lots nearby:
- Mass. General Parking Lot (accessible from Charles Circle Rotary)
- Cambridge Street Parking Garage (beneath the Charles River Plaza at the site of the new Whole Foods Market)
- Charles Street Beneath the Boston Common
Food: Indian restaurants from the area will have stalls selling food and drinks.
Restrooms are located at the side of the stage on the Storrow drive side.
