Amma Singing Bhajans

Amma Singing Bhajans

It’s always a great source of joy to sing in the presence of Amma. This year we are designing our bhajans’ presentation in such a way that all singers/musicians (beginners, intermediate and those with years’ of experience) can participate. We will start rigorous practice from January 2011.

We would like our bhajans to reflect shraddha (dedication) and bhakti (devotion) toward Amma. We are grateful to Swami Amritaswarupanandaji for his valuable feedback (Summer 2009) on our bhajan presentation. Based on his suggestions we have decided to hold regular bhajan practices. Those interested in participating and singing for Amma need to meet the following criteria:

  1. Attend at least 6 practice sessions out of 10.
  2. Must ARRIVE 15 minutes prior to practice and settle down with instruments, books etc. Since we have very limited time, this is critical.
  3. Strong interest and commitment.
  4. Once bhajans have been selected and finalized, booklets and accompanying CD will be distributed.
  5. Childrens’ practices will be conducted separately. Even children must attend specified number of practices. Their practices will begin in March 2011.
  6. Bhajan practices have been distributed to four locations. A lot of thought has gone into making it convenient for all participants.

    Aum Namah Shivaya Chanchal,

This page refers to special bhajan practice sessions for singing bhajans in physical presence of Amma during Her programs in New England region in Summer 2011. This page has the correct dates and timings of such bhajans as well as the calendar:
    http://www.ammanewengland.org/blog/upcoming-events

Individual satsangs also sing and practice bhajans throughout the year as part of their usual satsang routine activities.

Hope this answers your question. Which multiple calendars are you referring to?
