Amma’s Amherst, MA Satsang

DESCRIPTION A prayerful and devotional meeting of Amma’s devotees held at the homes of two devotee families in the Western Massachusetts area. All are welcome. Satsang is followed by a potluck vegetarian dinner. Please bring a dish to share.

PROGRAM Chanting of Amma’s 108 Names, prayer, readings, bhajans (devotional songs), arati, and meditation. Anyone interested in chanting the 1,000 Holy Names, please arrive by 4:15 PM.

SCHEDULE Meets the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month, 5:00-7:30 pm. Followed by a potluck vegetarian meal.

There are temporary changes over the next few months to the Amherst area satsang schedule. There will be satsangs in Easthampton on 12/6, 1/17, and 2/21. Satsangs on 12/20, 1/3, and 2/7 are cancelled

Wendell, MA (Amar and Pavana’s House)
37 Cold Brook Road, Millers Falls, MA 01349 (actual house is in Wendell, but that is the street address)

  • From the North
    • Take I 91 South to first Greenfield exit (Rte 2) Go East on Rte 2
    • ½ mile after French King Bridge, take R into Millers Falls (leads to Rte 63)
    • At 3-way stop in Millers Falls, go straight (Bridge Street) – see below
  • From the East
    • Take Rte 2 West and get off on Rte 63 to Millers Falls
    • At 3-way stop in Millers Falls, go straight (Bridge Street)  - see below
  • From the South
    • Take I 91 to the Deerfield exit (Rte 116)
    • Take 116 to Sunderland
    • At the lights turn L on Rte 47
    • Take 47 North till it dead ends at Rte 63
    • Take 63 N to Millers Falls
    • Turn R on Bridge Street in center of Millers Falls - see below
  • Once on Bridge Street
    • After bridge over railway, follow main road (bears slightly left and uphill).
    • Go uphill about 1 mile – road forks – take L fork (Mormon Hollow Road).
    • After ½ mile, at bottom of dip, turn R (Davis Road).
    • Go uphill about ¼ mile, turn R on Cold Brook Road.
    • Go to end (about ¼ mile) – park in farmyard, or in parking lot just before.
    • House is up track on left.

1 Stanley Street Easthampton, MA

  • Take Rte. 91 North or South to Northampton
  • Proceed to Main Street (call for more specific directions if needed)
  • Go through the center of town on Main St.
  • Take a left onto South St./MA 10 at the traffic lights at the Academy of Music
  • Follow for 2.4 miles
  • Turn left onto Lovefield Street, follow for .5 mile
  • Take left onto Clapp St.
  • Take very next right onto Stanley (there is no street sign)
  • The house is on the corner, #1.
